Rainbow of Love Adoption Agency, Inc. provides the following services to prospective adoptive parents:


ROLAA accepts adoptive parents from the state of Texas as well as Nationwide. Adoptive parents must be between the ages of 25 and 55. Parents can be single or married and from any race, religion or culture. Couples must be married for at least 2 years and single applicants must have a local support system. A thorough home study and background check will be conducted. Out of state applicants must have a home study conducted by a licensed Child Placing Agency in their home state.

1. Parenting Educating Training: These classes range on a variety of topics including: Styles of parenting, Kinds of parents, Raising healthy, well balanced children, CPR/First Aid, SIDS & Shaken Baby Syndrome, Stress Management, Basic baby care, Toddler care, Preschool care, School aged child, Adolescence and the Teen years, PAHP, Positive Discipline, Cultural Diversity, Learning Disability, Universal pre-cautions.

2. Curriculum Classes: ROLAA's parenting education program are geared Towards helping parents become more effective parents. PRIDE and PARENTING WISELY are curriculum based. There are also a variety of individual classes for those needing help on a particular subject.

3. Counseling : Once the application is submitted each family will be assigned an Adoption Specialist and a Social Worker. Although the decision to adopt will be completely your decision, these staff will be there to assist and support you along the way.

4. Homestudy and Homestudy Updates : The Home study is an assessment of the applicants in order to approve for adoption or foster care. The Home study will document and assess information as required by the state of Texas minimum standards. The information is evaluated and a recommendation is made by ROLAA on behalf of the applicant. Updates to the homestudy are done annually, if applicants are waiting for an adoptive placement.

5. Adoptive Placements : schedule meeting in which all of the adoptive paper work are signed. Adoptive parents are given at a minimum: Copy of HSEGH, Information on legal status, Adoption plan, and Placement agreement, Medical Authorization. Depending on the type of adoption additional paperwork may be required.

6. Post-placement supervision : Monthly visits and assessment of the adoptive placement, A minimum of six monthly visits is required, thereafter, a post placement report will be written.

7. General information concerning adoption, support groups and available literature will be given referrals on an as needed basis.

8. Interstate Compact Services will provide assistance for those who are adopting a child from out of state.

9.Background Checks and Notary public : Local, State, Federal and CPS Canris check and State of Texas Commissioned Notary services are also available at our location.
